Colin Child was DDA in San Bernardino County from 2013-2020. He handled misdemeanors, felonies, mentally disordered offender/sexually violent predator unit, arraignment court, prelims, jury trials, including DUIs and homicide. 

He was DDA in Nevada County from 2021 to 2022. He was on the misdemeanor team, handled his own felony caseload, and handled public records requests. 

He was DDA in El Dorado County from 2022 to 2023. He was in the special victims unit handling felony DV and sex cases. 

He was an assistant city attorney with the Burbank City Attorney's Office from 2023 to 2024. I had my own misdemeanor caseload and handled jury trials, calendar, and trained Burbank PD.

  • J.D. from McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento in 2012 
  • Internship Sac DA  from 2011-2012.
